Artist's Comments
We made it up to D.C. for the 4th of July, and decided not to try and find a place at the National Mall (that strip between the Capitol Building and the Lincoln Memorial). I had wanted to go see the fireworks over the Marine Corps War Memorial, to try and get a good shot. I don't think I was quite able to realize what I saw in my mind's eye, but I *finally* found a few worth sharing.
